Is it a VERY short list ? Do they even exist ? ::):

How about some recommendations. I'm struggling to think of any :?

How about Blood Red Roses
The opening sequence was filmed in Glasgow Central where they mocked things up a bit to make it look like the late 1950's or early 60's.

Starring a young'ish looking Gregor Fisher

Cheers, but I really mean exclusively feature films, not documentaries, or series.
It's as if filmmakers don't have the imagination to set anything in the city without giving it all the gangster crap.
It gets so boring seeing yet another "gritty" Glasgow film

Cheeky wee baistirt  It's set in the now defunct "Stoddarts" Carpet Factory.

As far as movies go, how about the wonderful "My Name is Joe" :?:

Correct me if I am wrong but was "My Name is Joe" not about a drunk. And would drunk not be covered by squaler! Therefore whils it is a good film it does not quite fit in with the request made. Or have I got this completely wrong ::):
