Red Arrows were great. Pity you couldn't actually get to see the ship in Greenock. I was a bit disappointed :(

Yeah - I think it was only by invite - saw the L.P.'s car heading back to civilisation whilst sitting in the traffic jam on the way into Greenock.

Might take a run out to Helensburgh this evening to see it leaving, if the weather improves

McShad!

A cracking picture! Was that taken from Kidstone? Looks as if the ship's in the Gareloch there.

I remember seeing her comong down to Clyde for the first time during a gegoraphy lesson at school in Helensburgh. Wish she could come back to The Clyde permanently and stay here for evermore.

Picture was taken from behind Gourock train station

I would love to see her come home for good wether as a hotel or show peice to the new transport museum.... but on the other hand, look at Glasgows berthed ship history (carrick, stranrar princess etc...)

Luvvly stuff, Alan. I'm well pissed off I couldn't go see it myself. Managed to miss it in the Forth early this week too :(

It's a real shame she couldn't have gone back to her place of birth permanently as a wee reminder of what the Clyde used to do (ok, a really really big reminder). Still, steel won't rust quickly in Dubai, so if everybody starts saving up from now :)

All the world seems in tune on a Spring afternoon, when we're poisoning pigeons in the park.

Last night, about ten to 7 she went past our house (we live in Rothesay) & my kids were soooo excited. They were hanging out the window waving goodbye.

Felt a bit sad though, as it's another wee bit of our heritage slipping away...
