Hi all,
Does anyone know the internal state of the tower blocks due for demolition such as at Red Road and the two in the Gorbals?
Also, does anyone have a list of those due for demolition?

Maybe he meant the Stirlingfaulds blocks - 2 of the 4 black slabs between Gorbals Street and Eglinton Street (specifically the 2 furthest from the Clyde) ? They're due to come down soon I think.
Cycling past them last week, could only see one remaining resident in the Gorbals Street-side one. Another flat was burnt out.

Aye I mean the 2 slabs still to come down. Is there anyway to gain access and photo the internals?

Noticed recently that an entire floor of one of the Stirlingfaulds flats in the Gorbals (the westernmost one - Stirlingfaulds Place, I think) has had its windows removed, high up. On the side facing Eglinton Street they've all gone. Start of pre-demolition work?

Update - had a shuftie round the Stirlingfaulds blocks on my way to work this morning. The immediate area of both blocks is fenced off and some heavy machinery in place, so the prep work for demolition is well underway.

Due for demolition on sunday 1st June 2008 according to the Norfolk Court concierge.
As for Norfolk Court itself, blocks 5 and 17 are full, with blocks 54 and 66 mostly empty and due to be completely empty at the end of the year. With the occupants given their £2500 "disturbance" money of course.
