Going through some old VHS tapes and I found a news report from Reporting Scotland circa 1985. The report was about job losses in Springburn and I grabbed this image from the piece;

Im still experimenting with the software or I would have grabbed more.

Could be prepping the unit prior to being relivered in the Transport Scotland Saltire livery - very few units remains with the First Group colour scheme.

Maybe Brian, but im sure the sets were all sent as is....the sets already as spotty (170s/156s/158s) are having the stickers removed from the doors.

I noticed in august that capital connect stickers were being removed from their trains prior to the franchise change on them

I have recently purchased the original copper printing plate for the £10 Preference Stock Certificates for the Glasgow & South Western Railway Company dated 1850. Once l clean it up l will photograph it and put it up for anyone who has an interest in the G&SWR...... Bobby

Any thoughts on Serco taking over the West Highland sleeper on 1st April? Currently it rumbles into Dalmuir with
a DB Class 67 crewed by Scotrail. Word on the "line" is that Serco may have to use Class 47's for a few months crewed by? Until they have their own motive power sorted. Maybe hire from GB rail freight. Did SERCO win the bid from Scotrail unexpectedly and suddenly have a motive power problem before the fancy rolling stock promised from Spain turns up. Any thoughts?

I thought the plan was to use rebuilt and re-engined Class 73s to haul the Deerstalker?

It is the plan to use rebuilt re-engined 73s, but changes to Euro Emission laws and subsequent modifications required to the engines, the locos won't be available until after Serco take over looking like late 2015 early 2016
