Gangrel Bodies - Jim Colquhoun

Postby Pgcc93 » Wed Jun 22, 2005 1:03 am

I remembered at the last minute that our Jim was bound for Aberdeen to live on a rooftop for 10 days and nights as part of his Gangrel bodies event.
I wasn't going miss out on that ::):

So I jumped on the first train to the Granite City and literaly bumped into Jim outside his temporary home.

Did you see any interesting sites on your way back from the Fittie bar? We saw three street workers at about 8 pm which suggests that Stewart's recording did indeed repel most of them...

Re Mackays of Queen Street - Have a look at the messages on the links below. Loads of urban myths exist about the shop but most people seem to love it. I believe the Spotty Bag Shop in Banff is of a similar nature. Check out the Colourbox down Holburn Street in Adeen for an equally "unique" shop.

Aberdeen celebs - you may also want to check out the blog / site below. As with the links above its a great way of celebrating the diversity of our cities. Of course others think its all in bad taste, un PC et al!

There is loads more stencil art around Aberdeen so have a good wander round next time you are up here,

cheers,

I love the way the guy down stairs says he's "waiting for new stock", which basically translates as "I can't be bothered to go down to the stock room and dust off a pair of flares in your size till next week".

Last but not least Weirs Way episodes being shown in the Tent section of McKay's of Queen Street.

Well! where else are you going to watch them? and it wasn't the same old Mary Queen of Scots being held at Inchmahome Priory on Lake of Menteith or that one with the Balloon tip over Loch Lomond that STV fire out at 3am every other night! these were good un's on show 8)

Ah, you seem to have heard the same story then. There was a favourite....

Let me be the first to say, I've always had my suspicions about that one, so Im not in the least bit suprised. Although I always though he prefered ... ... clearly I was wrong though!!!!

ARTIST COPULATES WITH GULL

Glasgow-based artist Jim Colquhoun has been revealed as a practitioner of
bestiality. His actions have been caught on CCTV on at least three
occasions. The same gull seems to have been involved in all of the alleged
acts. Detective Inspector Ian Peebles of the Aberdeen Constabulary commented
on the case earlier today: 'This man has been camping on the roof of the
Citadel for some days now. He claims to be an artist but has been filmed
naked with an immature Herring Gull on several occasions. The gull seems to
be a willing participant in the acts, which seem to have some kind of ritual
aspect. The case has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal for further
deliberation and a psychiatric report is being compiled.' Colquhoun's only
comment was to say that his 'practice' had dictated his actions and that the
gull was a personal friend: 'We are beautiful together', he said yesterday
as he was taken into custody.
Local SNP MSP Stuart Fittee said he was 'disgusted and sickened' by the
actions of this artist. He said: 'I will be conducting a full investigation
into the circumstances of this case. That this kind of depraved behaviour is
actually funded by the state is beyond belief.'
The Salvation Army, who own and run the Citadel refused to comment
yesterday.

Here's something that Jim might appreciate - a couple of guys pitching tents on a traffic island in Times Square. They managed to survive most of the night before the cops finally moved them on. How long do you think you'd last trying the same in, say, George Square, before the neds, cops and/or drunken twats spoilt the fun?

Ok I give in, after Googling about a bit and finding various references to Burns, Vampires etc, can someone tell me definitively what a "Gangrel Body" is.
