Some a$$hole is selling cd roms of photos downloaded from the Mitchell for £9.45 apparently they're very rare.

Shop the bugger to Ebay and the Mitchell. Ebay in particular are getting very strict on copyright just now.

Wouldn't be Jolly Roger from across the road from the Kelvin Hall by any chance?

Passed there the other day, and the place is still open.

Has to be one of the most outstanding examples of how the law is toothless if you're blatant enough.

Last time I saw this place on the telly, he was shouting his name at the camera and inviting the law to come after him, if it could.

It really depends on whether Glasgow City Archives (aka the Mitchell) have copyright of the images. The fact that they have copies of same doesn't necessarily mean they own copyright of a particualr image.

Having said that I agree its not the right thing to do.
