Glasgow's meteorite

Postby Ronnie » Fri Mar 05, 2004 4:56 pm

The Hunterian Museum at Glasgow University will shortly have an exhibition on the bicentenary of the High Possil Meteorite, which fell to earth on 5 April 1804. It is one of only four meterites to have fallen in Scotland. The exhibition runs from Friday 2 April to Thursday 30 September. More details, including related events, on the museum's website -

I think I've seen the Glasgow Herald report on this: Space rock devastates High Possil - damage extimated at 10/6.

Best, Ronnie

These days it would be "Space rock devastates High Possil - causes £20 million worth of improvements"
