They'll have to bring some real employment to the area, to
correct this issue.

::): Oh yeah, Im sure they will do that. They'll make shops. Come on, be realistic, everybody knows you can change society simply by putting people in different houses! Give them a 'front and back door' and all poverty is eliminated... What a load of rubbish...

Sorry, back to my old whining! ::):

Vladimir, they might create a limited amount of jobs
within the tourism sector, almost said "industry" there.

If the restaurant goes ahead they can always book
Rio. They always do a good turn on revolving towers ;)

The Finnieston one failed because it was a crap lighting design, using the wrong sort of kit for the job and not enough of them.
The LED units proposed for the Clydebank crane are small but punchy and you could easily cover the entire latticework with lights if you wanted to.

Something going on at the Science Centre Tower...

Looks as though they're expecting to drop a lot of stuff - they've got the whole thing barriered off, you can't walk round the end of the Science Centre at the moment.

Wish I'd managed to get up there when it was open.

Actual people dangling from it on ropes today - sliding down, blowing in the wind, looked good fun. (New career anyone?)

Maybe it's going to open again sometime soon?
