H G Cyclists

From reading the forums i have noticed there is a few cyclists amonst us anyone up for doing some HG cycling and rambling in the coming year, anyone fancy it stick a post up see what we come up with......
I know some of the canal from kirky to glasgow..and kirky to Falkirk...

Not being a bicycle owner (despite pressure from my sister to change that, and having nowhere to keep one), I'm interested in the rambling / hiking angle...

Sharon, you should cycle to your work. I used to, every day. Unfortunately I now live too far from my work to do this, and have to go by bus or car. The bike hasn't been ridden since November...

I mighthave a shot on my flatmates bike when hes away. I cant really get one, as there really is nowhere to keep one here. One chaned to the bannister is enough!!
Although i did wonder about keeping one at my sisters - in cumbernauld!! Not so handy for work though... which if it ever stops raining I will walk to more often.

Could be persuaded for some exploration-by-bike - its a great way to get to disused / derelict buildings etc., and you have the speed advantage when any neds take offence.
Normally I'm away blasting offroad at weekends though, or sinking in the swamp called Cathkin Braes .....

I've got the ultimate route for a Circular trip from the City Centre/Westend that does'nt have many hills to negotiate. It's roughly 28 miles door to door and uses the Forth and Clyde Canal - Erskine bridge - Inchinnan- Renfrew-Govan-City Centre. I'll post a map of the route when I have a minute.

I can asure you, the Erskine Bridge maybe doesnt look like a normal
hill, but it's a long slow climb that will really annoy your knees...

Not that I know of Seamey I just kinda made this route up a few years ago.
Another plus point for this route is that most of it can be done avoiding busy roads.
