Clyde Tunnel

There is very little material in the Clyde Tunnel, anyone else got any info on its creation to the present day.

If I recall correctly - there was a film made 1950's / 60's called "The Maggie" which was about the adventures of a Clyde Puffer and her crew - somewhat along the lines of Para Handy and the Vital Spark anyway....
Part of the storyline is that whilst they were in Glasgow they got stuck on the subway tunnel at low tide - I have a still from the film (somewhere) and it shows "The Maggie" in a similar predicament and location to the boat shown in crusty's pic
