Glasgow Airport; new flight path over Rutherglen!

Under Glasgow Airport new flight path proposals, 'Rutherglen will be directly under a new flight path'. Ruglonians alert! Edinburgh people stopped it happening to them. Consultation here:

Sucks for Rutherglen. You guys should get your voices heard however you can. It's not going to be fun if this passes, trust me.

To be fair though, GLA isn't Heathrow - it isn't one plane a minute for God's sake, and for the most part most approaches into GLA are from the north due to the prevailing wind direction (think about the people who live in Bearsden and Clydebank .....who have had to put up with REALLY low flying planes for 50 years!) Remember that much the East End currently sits under the northern approach before they turn around over the Campsies, and they are not going to be that much lower coming into the south. You get "noise blind" eventually.
