Our friends at Woodlands Community Development Trust have asked us to share the following.
Due to increases in our workload, we are looking to expand our pool of sessional workers. This is to assist us with both current and future planned projects in both Woodlands and Woodside.
Opportunities are likely to exist in some or all of the following areas:
- Community Gardening including delivering training workshops
- Landscape Gardening, Maintenance and Design
- Bio-diversity and Nature Studies
- Community Engagement
- Supporting and Training Volunteers
If you have
- a background in community work
- experience of delivering training and workshops
- a relevant qualification
- are able to work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds (including for example older people and people from Minority Ethnic backgrounds)
- have excellent communication skills
- are able to work as part of a small team
- flexibility and can work at short notice and/or during evening or weekends
Then we would like to hear from you!
Please email to [email protected]
- a copy of your CV
- plus a short covering letter (1 side A4 maximum) explaining about your areas of expertise, your community work experience plus information on what days/times you are available to work.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 15th April
We are a Living Wage Employer and our standard rate of pay for sessional workers is £13 per hour. Sessional workers are responsible for paying their own tax and NI and are appointed on a freelance basis rather than being on our payroll.
We anticipate a high volume of interest in these opportunities so although we will acknowledge safe receipt of applications, we are unlikely to have resources to be able to provide detailed feedback to individual applicants.
Thanks!
