Hello!

I'm currently studying the Cowcaddens area and the north of the city centre as part of a university project. If any of you would like to share your memories about what it was like to live or work in this area it would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Lucy

Lucy, a book to read to learn a bit about Cowcaddens is 'Tales of the Savoy' by Joe Pieri. His family ran the Savoy Cafe for many years (1931 - 1971) and his book celebrates the area and the characters who populated it.

Hi Lucy, only thing i knew of the coocaddens was the Dallass' shop building, directly opposite the old Cowcaddens underground station. My aunt lived on the top floor above.? The shop. We could go up on the roof space where the washing line was, & thhe view around was nice tho at a young age was scary because of the height you were at.
