Cathkin Braes Country Park Aerial Mast Alarm

Hey guys,

weird one for you Glasgow sleuths. So I'm up at the Cathkin Braes Country Park aerial mast at the highest point overlooking Glasgow with a bunch of my students when suddenly, for no reason, there is this siren - like an air raid alarm! It went on for almost 30 minutes before dying off.

We never went anywhere near it or caused anything to go near the area around it. Just a very weird event.

Wondered if you guys knew anything about the siren and what might set it off and why it's there?

I believe it's a dogging siren, like church bells.

Thought the doggers had a horn

No sadly. It just totally ruined the view so my group just went for a walk to the other side of the park (as far as possible) and down through Castlemilk to Croftfoot Station instead of heading back the way we came to Burnside via Fernhill.
