Absolutely correct.

You never know when a junkie, alkie or Chinese immigrant is liable to break cover from the well-known Blue Lagoon nettle patch.

Still, could have been worse. They could have been video-ing it.

In all my time in the fire brigade I could never quite figure out why people had to get so close to an obviously developing fire. When these things let go they have flame fronts that can go right across the road if the conditions are right, that's why we crouch, so it goes over our heads and not straight into our coupons!

A wee bit of excitment I suppose!

question is dont chip ranges have a foot operated killswitch that kills the electric supply then flick shut the chip hatches if the thing catches fire, no oxygen no fire... simples.. although someone on the pie and bovril forums reckoned the staff dont have the brain power to do that. again I would assume that staff were not trained on giving the fire a wee scoosh from a powder or c02 bottle to kill a wee fire before it becomes a big fire

Maybe a wee fire wasn't what they needed.

As anyone who uses the Newsbox store next door knows, they are probably the fastest serving shop in Glasgow, I'm reliably informed that they hardly missed a beat while there was an inferno raging through the wall. :D

That sounds about right Peasy as you can see in Mori`s vid that folk are still going into the shop blissfully unaware of the drama going on next door.

Does anyone else think it is pretty sick that the individuals who shot Mori's video are laughing all through it ? Were they stoned, pissed or both or are they just another example of the insensitive society that seems to prevail these days ?

To sit and laugh while someone's property is burning to the ground might suggest that the individuals involved are in dire need of expert psychiatric help before their alcohol and drug induced stupor leads to more serious consequences for them !

Probably just young kids Tombro, silly teenagers that have no other worries in the world, not thinking of what they are saying and not thinking anyone would look at their video on a forum.Guess thats the way some youngsters are these days.

Whit if it blows up, but?

Ach, don't worry. It'll be fine....

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection in action...

Have to say, when I heard it had gone up, my first thought was "I wonder what the colour underwear Network Rail employees had that afternoon..." Can you imagine having to close Central Station on a Friday afternoon because of a chip pan fire gone native?!
