Drove past here and it was being pulled down. Does anyone know what happened? Was it a fire?

"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

Passed it this morning and it was still up, but the roof was gone barring the main trusses, as was the majority of the interior.

Police tape around the building and a traffic jam because of all the rubber-neckers slowing down to look at it as they drove past. :?

I had a grandfather and 5 uncles who all lived in ashgill road lambhill and i'm sure i used to hear them talkng about going down to the glen or a drink (or two) Would this be the same Glen Douglas? I'm going back a long time probably to the early 70's

The Glen Douglas goes back to 1960's and probably even earlier.
I noticed it had gone on my trip a couple of weeks ago.
