They're probably charging a premium because they know if someone needs access to the internet urgently when they're on the road then they'll pay the price for it. Just drive about and find some private unsecured Wi-Fi network instead... ;)

For free WiFi all you need is a laptop installed with a copy of NetStumbler.

85% of all WiFi nets are insecure.

Just steal it. It's more fun that wat ;>

It's a 12'' G4 PowerBook 1.33ghz Hooked up to a TFT monitor, you wouldn't know it was a laptop. Fast wee bugger!

Oh I found MacStumbler and KisMAC apps

My only PowerBook is a 540C! It has PC card slot tho so it'll do Wi-Fi.

Hillhead Library, Mitchell Library and the Library at GoMA all offer free WiFi access.
