Its true that symbol is all over the place. I actually saw the guy painting it one day, he was older than i thought, i presumed it was a gang symbol of some kind. Seems to have stopped now, no fresh ones for about a month that i've seen.
I really like that weigh station, does anyone know of any more that still stand in Glasgow?

Clyde Place, on the southern bank of the Clyde where the Renfrew Ferry lives - last time I looked there was the remains of a scale on the road there, although the associated warehouses have since been demolished, yet another example of listed buildings being neglected beyond repair.

Not knowing where James Mc's flat is, might I enquire where the original pic is??

Its the weigh office directly in front of the Alexander thomson Caledonia rd church in the noo Gorbals.

I remember those buildings being demolished not long ago on the clydeside. Haven't noticed the weigh office though, i'll take a look soon, cheers.

It was the Tradeston one I was meaning, just to clarify it!

Last time I saw it, it was just an enormous rectangular scale set into the road, although it didn't look like it had been capable of weighing much for a long time, given that it appeared to have been tarmaced down!

noticed that someone has started painting over the obscure symbols - soon they all be gone and still no one will know what they are.

there used to be a weigh station in parkhead behind the library
next to the sports ground (name of the street escapes me now)
it still had the weighbridge in the road up until the late eighties
dont know if it is still there now
