the red police box that was on the corner of glassford sr and wilson st

is gone 8O

Yeah, saw it was away on saturday. Hopefully they will put it back once the work there is finished.

I thought this was it at the top of the photo - albeit blue. Must confess, I was more interested in the bog than the Tardis!

are the old toilets at govan cross still operational....

was up at the cathedral last week and i noticed another police box and the public toilets up there are in very good condition.... near to the statue of king billy on a horse dressed as julius ceasar(king billy dressed as ceasar not the horse)...

The whole street is being pulled up, I hope they put the police box back in place ... Glasgows police boxs get a lot of tourist attention.........

i,m sure it was red at one time.

The police box is apparently going back but on the pavement at the side of the road, seeing as how the traffic island has been removed. Nodrog is yer man for police box queries!

Was it not originally red because in Glasgow the police boxes were a joint resource for the police and fire services? They were repainted in the last decade or so in blue when they underwent some renovation IIRC.

I miss smashing those wee windaes, and pulling open that hatch to shout "there's a train on the line".
I smashed a windae once on the box at Balornock Rd./Broomfield Rd./Drumbottie Rd., only to find there was a copper in the box. I had to run like fuck that day.
