I'm not surprised he changed it, then.....

For someone who was something of a local legend, it's surprising how little info there is out there on his life history. I also noted that the Wikipedia entry lists him as being only in his 50s when he died, which I'm sceptical about.

Yes mac , I was the same when I was searching around about Glen Daly.Not a lot even i,n the scottish music hall site, about him, odd. i do know that his sister lived in Pollok because my Grandfather was a fruit and veg man there and she was a customer. Thats where the tickets for the Private Box at the Pavillion came from.

By the mid-80s the Ashfield Club was a drinking den known as the 404 Club. I used it a couple of times for late drinks on Sundays. It is now the Ashfield Bar (pictured, I think)
