Nicely named, i must say!

The Glasgow underground has suicide pits tae. Probably only a matter of time
before H&S insist on the lower level mainline stations installing them as well.

I often wondered if Glasgow had them. I assumed so, given there are deeper bits on the track in some places,but was never 100% sure.

I suppose the same thing would really apply at any stations. There've been incidents at Motherwell and Johnstone? recently with people falling in front of trains. It's a wonder it doesn't happen more. What I have noticed thiogh, on quite a few occasions recently is stopping suburban trains really crawling into the stations for no apparent reason, so maybe that's the H&S solution?

...and now I hear two taggers have been killed by an Tube train in London while being chased by security guards.

the radio report i heard said the transport police dont give chase in these areas due to all the dangers

Moredisasteron the Subway today. Apparently, according to Big Bob Wylie of the SPT: ".... some people may have found walking through the tunnel an unpleasant experience." ..."

Some HGers, of course, would have cut off their right hands to have been on that train......

I cant help but read Bob Wylie's comments in his 'idiosyncratic' style of enunciation made famous on reporting scotland

Anyway he said he fulfilled a life time ambition and got some piccies on his phone, if I can work out away to up-load them I'll get them posted, it'll be a kind of HG exclusive

I think they got some strange looks at Partick as they emerged from the tunnel.

Personally, this is my favourite bit of the whole article:

Perhaps more due to the people on the subway than the tunnel itself!?

Also, the picture makes it look much much darker than it is.

Damn, I must have just missed that train by about ten minutes!

Nah, just checked, it was on the wrong circle for me.
But that would have been a sight, eh, 100 lost looking people appearing from the depths of the tunnel, how cool?
