Favourite Glasgow Postcard

Postby Kirsty » Tue May 25, 2004 11:00 am

I don't know if this has been done before?? I was thinking about this because my friend was sending a postcard to her friend in London..anyway... My favourite Glasgow postcard has to be the photo of the wee ginger girl in the yellow cardigan taken in North Kelvinside. She was in my class at school and insisted that the guy that took the picture messed her hair up to make her look like that . Aye Right!!

No she never did get her teeth fixed.

I think they might still have it in the Peoples Palace Gift shop.

I don't know who took it, though Colin Baxter is kind of in the back of my head?

Kirsty

p.s She isn't listed on Friends reunited, but I imagine she never moved very far from Maryhill

I have it in a 1981 photographic book entitled simply "Glasgow" by Douglas Corrance, and it doesn't credit any other photographers, so perhaps that's who it was.
