No idea pripyat it was part of the http://www.thelighthouse.co.uk/aweebitofglasgow/2005/index.php competition that won it ... i thought i'd put it up on this thread as it was relevant of a full bus wi nae seats. :)

Just back from the city centre and saw 2 cyclists nearly get squished by
a demonical First Bus driver. If the bus driver had a cow catcher, they
would have been well impaled.

[quote="crusty_bint"]the driver waits till everyones seated before moving off (unlike here!) quote]

Should I assume from this that no standing passengers should be allowed on our buses?. :(

So you agree it isn’t necessary for the driver to wait till all passengers are seated before moving off then?......You can't have it both ways.

applemaca, I think what Crusty is getting at, is the habit of most bus drivers in this area of moving the bus while the wee granny who's just got on is still putting her purse away and ends up in the lap of the person in the front seat because the driver can't wait for 5 seconds until she sits down.

Thanks Cheesy :) I made the mistake of thinking anyone who read my comment would understand that point. I was obviously wrong.

Busted! I agree with much that’s been said regarding platform staff, but they are drawn from the general public and not flown in from another planet (which might surprise a few) and as a result what you see when you board a bus is exactly what I see when you board a bus..

No probs Crusty, it was plainly obvious what you meant but some people are just blind to certain things! Especially when it turns out that they ARE a bus driver after all!! Protect your own obviously!!
