Cap'n Brittles welcome and I had a look at your Bailieston et al website. Do you have anything on the old Easterhouse Mansion? I grew up where the Easterhouse scheme edged onto the countryside at Lochend Road. I can wistfully remember clambering around the ruined Mansion House that I seem to remember as something awesome; in the end demolished by Glasgow Corporation in the 60s/70s?

Hello everyone,
I've had a good look around this site in the last few days, and frankly, I'm impressed. I love the local history of Glasgow and 'Fortian' type topics. The lack of negativity in the bullitin board was also impressive (could be down to a proactive moderator though). Anyway......just saying hello and hope I can contribute something to the site. I live, and have lived in Glasgow for 39 years and the city centre for 12 years. I walk through the city centre almost every day and most nights ( sounds like I'm on the game!). Will be a regular reader if not poster.
Regards,
George

Greetings ... Amber here. From across that big pond. Just saying hiya cheers and thanks ... splendid reading and viewing here.
I'll be making my way to Scotland in the future (am of Scottish descent Fraser clan) and would enjoy a meet up with some like-minded folks (well, at least into UE).
Namaste ~ Amberlynne

Kitten: Thanks! I'm tickled to be here. And when, eventually, I make my way *there* ... the first round is on me, Sister.
Molendinar: Kill! Kill! *wink*
