St Phillips Primary school

Postby tommytank » Sun Aug 12, 2007 10:30 am

Morning all, got a query about St Phillips Primary school, Ruchazie.
My Mums doing a wee project on the school, having attended it as a child, however now that its gone, things are getting a bit hard to come by for it. What i'm trying to find for her is a copy of the badge, specifically one with the schools motto on it. Does anyone on here have a copy of this or a link to a site where i could find such a thing?
Cheers all in advance, Tommy

My immediate though was to check out Friends Reunited beacuse despite all its shortcomings it is actually more than just a place where you get to try to shag all those lassies who wouldn't let you in 1971.

Strangely, it looks as if nobody from St Phillip's has registed the school on the site.

Tommy

I went to Ruchazie PS and Fos and I managed to get photos of inside Ruchazie before it closed. Unfortunately we didn't get in St Phillip's and I just heared on Friday that St Phillip's had been demolished.

Most schools used a supplier for their uniforms it may be worthwhile contacting them to see if they have a copy of the logo.

I will ask the Education Department if they have any record of old school logos. May be a we're project there.

There may well have been an 'official' school photographer.

As I recall the class photos were often in a folder bearing the school crest.

Tommy

Thanks to your enquiry the Education Department are considering doing a project to retain this type of information. Unfortunately no central collection has been done but hopefully now they will make a point of retaining this type of information.

I will try and find out if the new school has retained any of the St Phillip's badges or merged it with the other school located to the new school.

Hope this is helpful.
