So that's three so far, and half a dozen from other sources (all known to you and vetted) .. anyone else going, if you can let me know before Thursday morning - which is when I intend to email Suki back - I'd be grateful, just so I don't keep the lassie waiting for details etc.

I'm unfortunately not really well enough to be there, but I look forward to seeing the photos from you guys.

Me too. I can't say for definite that +1 will be there, but would it be ok to keep a place open anyway? Sorry to be annoying.

More sorry you don't feel up to being there, though. I hope you make a remarkable recovery and make it after all.

Cheers guys .. the +1 place is easily held open LP, so fret not.

As for me being there? I very much doubt it, although I dearly wish I could be.

It would be good seeing what they have done to the offices of my latter apprentice years.

Final confirmation of the date, time and meeting place .. there was some confusion as to the latter point as Suki stated it was at the main office entrance just West of the junction of Elderpark Street and Govan Road .. I take it she means Elder St and Govan Road as there is no junction between Elderpark Street and Govan Road.

Have a good trip guys, I look forward to seeing the results.

FFS .. everyone hang fire. I've just had a phone call from Suki and it seems like there may be some problem with access to the building on Saturday.

An electrical safety issue with the building has forced the possible cancellation of two tours, one of those being ours.

I'm awaiting a call/email informing me of the full SP .. I'll get back to you as soon as I hear anything, hopefully tonight - definitely tomorrow.

In the words of Papa Lazarou - this is turning into a saga now .. watch this space ..

So, that'll be a definite "Off!" then. I shall keep in touch with Suki, and do my best to arrange another date very soon .., Suki was very apologetic (as am I) but did indicate that another visit would be something she (and the Heritage Project) are very keen on so I shall keep everyone posted.

Ach, that's a shame. Another time though, for sure. (With luck you'll be in better form yourself, and all that.)

Indeed. Silver lining/cloud - all that.

Hopefully I'll be able to make the re-scheduled visit - I was looking forward to actually making it to a HG outing too!

One of the tv news programmes gave a brief view of the interior as part of the coverage of events yesterday.
I hear the people sing.
