Depends what you want to happen next, I suppose.

Maybe the owners had talked to GCC for some ideas on burning buildings down.

The place is also used by train spotters to park their cars when theyre photographing trains on the E&G and Perth lines

Obviously you would store them under a raised section of the M1.

True. An old friend of mine had a neighbour whose young son was fascinated with fire engines. His street used to go on fire quite often.

I was doing some searches for pics related to the electrification of the west coast main line in 1974. I found the ones back on page 11/12 :) But I wondered if anyone had any others of around then, or any memories of it to recount.

I'm stating an interest... I was there at the opening by the Queen although I was only 3! My grandfather worked for BR and later got a BEM for his part in the electrification. He's long gone now and sadly missed, but I'd love to hear more about it as obviously my memories are a bit vague. I remember the Duke of Edinburgh patting me on the head and that's about it! :D

Does that mean it goes over Eglinton St, Cumberland St, Gorbals St and past the mosque?

Evening, all.

On the subject of Railways, I was wondering if there was such a thing as a kml or kmz file showing the old routes etc?
I've had a quick search on here & google, can't find anything. I was going to search Google "user created maps" but they're down just now.

Thanks, folks.

Why is the route not being turned over to train/light rail metro linking north/south of city.making hub at Glasgow cross linking low level Argyle line.surely this woul help sustain regeneration in Gorbals 9CUMBERLAND ST STATION COULD BE REOPENED.also it would help trongate and collegelands.any city would love to have this infrastructure in place.we could do all this without digging up our streets and not the mess that is eburgh.come on Glasgow.the victorians have left us a great legacy lets use it.

Hi BT I have seen the shunters wash this off. They spray it first with this chemical TFR and give it a wee brush then leave it for 20 mins then just jet wash them off .
Thank you. And why not.
