and best architecure design award (shettleston housing association offices extension)

i bet a few people who pay for a west end post code must be choking on their fair trade flakes

Haha! Yeah, those guys from the west end are all "hoop-de-doop-de-doop-de-da", whereas the folk from the east end are all "raar! grr! fargle! snort!"

I have heard it alleged that residents of the west end enjoy a CAFFÈ LATTE PESTO FOCACCIA of an evening, whereas the denizens of the east prefer the BUCKFAST TONIC WINE. This is because people from the east are real, while those from the west are only pretend.

I have a particular bent to this topic (if I interpreted correctly the thread subject) the good old "Who Do You Think You Are" Glaswegian tradition. My interest due to the fact that the first half of my childhood was in Possil and the second half in the "posh" WE

define "real" please? :D

Was raised in Finhaven Street, attended Quarry Brae then Wellshott Secy and Eastbank Acad,, Worked for Shettleston Coop. Propably about as "eastend" as they get. Still dont know how to interpret that quote. Explain please. :?

Right. Imagine somebody who hasn't slept all night has a wee swatch at the internet, and happens upon a completely harmless, throwaway line about how the west end is like x. Imagine they rattle off a load of pish because they're fed up hearing about it. Imagine said guy still hasn't slept. That's pretty much where we are.
