I did this to a Canon 300D DSLR years ago - it was awesome. Gave the camera almost the exact same features as its more expensive big brother the 10D. In effect it was like getting a free upgrade. I don't know anyone who bought a 300D that didn't do it! Given how easy it is to do you'd be crazy not to if you have a supported model.
EDIT: Just looked at the instructions for this one, its not quite as easy as the infamous 300D firmware hack was, but still looks pretty simple. Unlike the 300D hack there's no firmware replacing going on, so its gonna be nigh on impossible to brick your camera.
