I never saw any equipment anywhere(I was all over the entire building), but there is a couple of rooms at the side of the pool that look likely candidates(one being the room the Dolphin is in) that that's what they'll get turned into. Essentially the Civic Realm half is nearly good to go but the leisure centre half is still a manky building site.

In fact, the more I think about it the more I reckon that's what one or both these room will be used for.

Re: Hawes and Curtis discount

Shirts wrote:Dear All,

It is very positive to get a mention on this forum for our new store in the Silverburn shopping centre. For details of the shop you can visit our website http://www.whoresandcurtains.com

Hawes and Curtis have a good range of Men's and Ladies business and fashion shirts with prices starting at as low as £25. The range of shirts is extensive, as is the selection of ties and cufflinks.

We also have a competition running to win 4 shirts with 5 draws giving you a good chance to win.

For a limited time we are giving you 10% off online by allowing you to enter Glosgow in the promotion box at the checkout. This is only available online.

Many thanks
Shirts

Is it just me, or does anyone else see this? Was this changed by a tongue-in-cheek moderator after everyone decided it was too commercial? I'm completely baffled - other people (Fossil) have quoted it but it still says whores and curtains (but strangely his quote says 100% discount - seems an odd thing to go editing). Maybe it's just because it's late but I can't get my head round it - I can understand if one of the HG regulars made a new account to post this daft post, but Onyirtodd made a reasonable response as though he read as a straight post, and fourbytwo, who normally seems quite straight-laced (in the nicest possible way!) seems to have taken offence to the corporate-ness.

Help! Am I losing it?!

The link was changed in the original post. It's fairly obvious from what, though.

Visited Silverburn on Sunday. We had to park waaaaaay out at the far end as it was mobbed so went in at M&S and tracked all along to the far end where we got some shopping in Tesco. By this time it was dark and pissing down so in a display of chivalry i offered to go get the car from 3 miles back that way and collect the gf at tesco with the shopping. This would save us pushin the barrow through the center and then all the way back!

I drove along to the car park, and as it was dark and wet i couldnt really see the road markings that clearly. I signalled to pull into what i thought was a 2 lane right turn at the front of tesco, little realising it was in fact the taxi lane. I had been there for no more than 10 seconds trying to turn back out on to my own lane, when a silver people carrier taxi pulled up at my right, bxing me in. A second taxi (there were none in front of me or beind as i turned into this lane) pulled right up behind me and i was stuck. I then had 1 of the drivers out his car and up at mine shouting and swearing - 'is this the first fucking time youve been here pal?' etc. The wee trolley guy from tesco came over to calm things down and they left, i pulled away round the corner to hopefully park and get the trolley.

The tesco guy was saying to the gf that they get aggressive and OTT when this sort of thing happens. It is absolutely unbelieveable that they can act this way, in a public place over such a minor traffic infrinegement. needless to say we will think twice before shopping there again.

That is shocking, but not entirely surprising of some taxi drivers. Too many of these guys get away with dreadful driving, no manners - either on the road or person to person, and downright aggression. Take their number and make an official complaint to the company, or Licensing Board.
Fortunately, there are nice drivers out there too.
But I'm not surprised you got a bit confused in that car park; I've noticed it's quite dimly lit, which isn't helped by rainy weather.
Is it Friday yet?

Use the multi storey car park, it's always half empty & gives easy access to the shops.
