Silverburn and Pollok Civic Realm

Postby Alex Glass » Sat Jul 07, 2007 12:35 am

The Pollok Civic Realm

The leaflet

The £6m Pollok Civic Realm project is part of the wider Pollok Town centre regeneration which includes the Silverburn shopping development. It brings together some seven partners, who will be housed in a new facility constructed between the newly expanded Pollok Health Centre and the Pollok Leisure Centre. From a single entrance the public will be able to access a number of services.

There include Pollok Library and Learning Centre, Greater Pollok Citizens Advice Bureau, Greater Pollok Kist Community Museum, The South West Stress Centre, Pollok Health Centre, Pollok Leisure Pool and Glasgow South West Regeneration Agency with Childcare facilities.

I will post up more details from the leaflet over the next few days and later post photos taken during the construction.

I also have a few photos of the Silverburn development and will report progress until it opens later this year.

OT- You should be asking questions about G101 on Leverndale Rds actions last month. I suspect they have seriously hammered people who can least afford it! I've just remembered about this AG, bung me a PM and I'll ignore it until tomorrow when i'm better suited to explain. I'll just need reminded though.

I suspect Alex means 'relief from' rather than 'inducing of'.
