ALso, the full independent report is now online here; my favourite quote is this one:
"The criterion requiring a property to be offered for sale to prospective purchasers is part of Historic Scotland’s published policy on demolition. Exceptions can be made to policy, but I do not consider that sentimental attachment to a building by the owner is one of these. No other reason has been put forward to justify withholding the property from the market"
