Got into the South Rotunda for a wee peek this morning (29 sept). All in the line of duty. Had to make do with the old phone camera rather than a proper camera due to short notice.

It is walled off inside a structure at the north wall of the building. You cannot access it from inside the building.

The only entrance to the tunnel is via an external door.

Two doors on the building facing the Clyde. One on the right accesses the rotunda.

One on the left with the scottish Water sign above it...

Am I the only one that thinks this report is a bit.. transparent?

It seems obvious to me that the Pacific Quay developers are desperate to get it occupied as its the turd on their fresh lawn

True - prior to that bridge going up, it sat in wasteground. Now, it's STV's front
lawn.

It would be brilliant if someone could find some public kind of use for it (surely there'll be a need for a character-ful pub by the time they've built all that Pacific Quay stuff...). But they'd have to magic up somewhere for a car park - STV and the road for the new bridge have taken all the space there was.

I think at an early stage there were plans that it would be a part of the new stv building. I reckon the cost would have knocked that idea on the head though. Whatever the building costs it will probably cost more to renovate.

However, I am very much in favour of the pub idea. Hope someone from Weathespoons or similar picks up on this thread
