New Lidl's Houses and demolition

Postby hillbilly » Thu Feb 19, 2015 10:25 pm

Some new proposals for Yoker/Clydebank area. A new Lidl's store behind the Lovat pub with entrance from Mill road. Also new housing on old SSEB site beside Yoker bowling club. Proposed demolition of flats in area of Newshot crt overlooking Yoker railway station.
THE MASTER OF THE CARAVAN :
But who are ye in rags and rotten shoes,
You dirty-bearded, blocking up the way?

THE PILGRIMS :
We are the Pilgrims, master; we shall go
Always a little further:

Read online (Clydebank post) about the demolition of the Flats & Maisonettes at Yoker Station, nothing about The Scottish Power site though.... Doubtful that planning permission would be granted for road access from the mill Road side, given its a blind summit going towards Glasgow Rd, and the busy junction IMHO
