Welcome to Glasgow - now look up.

I wonder if HG'ers have a particular book on the above subject they'd recommend as a gift for a non-Glaswegian. </= £25 - £30.

There are some 95 pages of mentions of the word 'book' so it'd take some time to work through them and I'm a lazy bugger.

"Look up Glasgow" by Adrian Searle & David Barbour? Twenty five quid and a fairly good guide to the things you can find if you look up in Glasgow.

Pretty comprehensive, although some photos are laughably out of date - for example there are shots of the St Enoch Centre in it, in its original 1980s form, and the Gorbals before most of the multis were torn down. But still a good read nevertheless.
