The Bridgeton Olympia

Postby calamity » Thu Jan 10, 2013 8:31 pm

Well its lay empty a long while and sadly negelected but Ive followed aw the work done on the old place, a wonderful night out in grandeur was the Olympia in its heyday, lovely cosy big cinema with luxurious carpets and seating, now revamped into a library, boxing school of excellence, offices, cafe and media centre.... maybe it will never be the same as the past but glad its still standing...

once more lit up at night.

Hello I was particulary interested in your news about the Olympia because as the old Bridgeton Library moves around the corner to the Olympia The Glasgow Womens Library is moving into the old library complex according to Adel and Sue Johns who run the library it is a big step for everyone at the library and as a member I can't wait to see the new Center open in a couple of months time it is just great.

best wishes Annie
