Buildings at Risk Register (BARR).

"Rennie Mackintosh’s B-Listed former BBC HQ in Queen Margaret Drive in Glasgow is one of more than 100 structures to have been added to the list of important Scottish buildings that are at risk.

The section of the building designed by Mackintosh in 1895 has been damaged by thieves stealing lead from the roof, according to the latest report by the Buildings at Risk Register (BARR), Historic Scotland’s watchdog for the country’s crumbling estate."

Are buildings like The Hatrack and 42 St Andrews Sq (Edinburgh) really at risk? The Hatrack is listed because it has a couple of empty floors. Does that really mean it's in danger?
I hear the people sing.

Saw in the Glaswegian to day that they're renting out rooms at the QM Drive building - just charging £45 p.w. but it's to save it from being vandalised or squatters moving in.

Seems a good idea so long as they''re exercising a bit of discretion on who they allow to rent :)
