Excellent day out last year. Same day as Gibson Street Gala. Try to take in both.
238 to 127. All in all a good afternoon's work

Performers from all over the world will put on a spectacular celebration of cultural diversity for the thousands of people expected at this year's Glasgow Mela.
Kelvingrove Park will play host to around 25,000 people for the extravaganza on Sunday, June 21.

Musicians and dancers representing diverse cultures from Scotland and artists from India and Japan will perform at the event. Among the acts will be the Desi Bravehearts, above, who are young dancers from Scottish, Indian, Pakistani and Chinese backgrounds. There will also be Bhangra stars Jassi Sidhu and Mona Singh, traditional Indian dance troupe ICCR and Scottish pipers, as well as a third stage, a sports area and a children's tent.

Bailie Liz Cameron, Chair of Culture and Sport Glasgow, said: "Now in its 18th year, the Mela continues to be a wonderful family event that is representative of the fact that Glasgow is a multicultural and multiracial city.

"Quite simply, Glasgow Mela is a great day out for everyone."
