Blast Away The Cobwebs - Bowling Sat 17th May 12noon

Postby tobester » Sat May 10, 2008 11:49 pm

Anyone new or old fancy a wee wander around bowling next sat (17th May) to blast away those winter cobwebs/winter blues?

I know this has been done till its blue in the tooth, but was also thinking its an easy one for any new members wanting to go out for the first time.

Could meet at Bowling Station say...12 midday...can wander about the old harbour, up and onto the old railway line (as shown by smart alex to me last year), along the line to the old swing bridge, then down to the main bowling basin, following the canal to the old lock keepers house (if its still there), then onto the saltings (i think thats what its called), then along to kilpatrick for a wee shandy.

If youre interested but not sure about bowling station i can meet you at Queen Street Station too.

If youre interested add your name to the list ::):

If theres enough interest ill stick up the train times/details nearer next sat (just like old times)

What i think is best is maybe to punt this back to the 1st June, five people more time.

Could a mod possibly alter the date on this to June1 please, ta
