DEFF's 1st birthday at Glasgow's basement Czech bar Pivo Pivo on Saturday the 22nd of March will be celebration of quality electro-tech-house/ breaks/ techno and everything in between, pumped through a brand new soundsystem, as we proudly welcome Aussie breaks superstar Defcon 1.

Name-checked by Ministry of Sound as one of Australia's leading breaks DJs, Defcon 1 has been behind the decks of every major club in Australia, and rocking tens of thousands at festivals including the Big Day Out, Earthcore and the Bellingen Global Carnival. He landed his first residency at the world renowned Chinese Laundry club in Sydney in 2000 and has never looked back, eventually holding down residencies in clubs such as Kink and Home.

Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, the USA, Mexico, Thailand...and now Glasgow!!! ... Defcon1 moved here in 2006, when he hooked up with the Chew the Fat! parties, helping promote their events at the Sub Club. He now runs the underground party Beatbox with Chew the Fat! resident DJ Bradley C, which has been a welcome addition to Glasgow's already quality club scene.

And remember, Pivo Pivo is fast establishing itself as a leading underground city centre venue, having just spent a small fortune on a state of the art Bose PA system and two brand new Logic subs, as well as having the main room totally refurbished! ... so the usual high quality DEFFinitive Electronic Futuristic Funk pumped through the speakers will be a special treat for your senses!
