Deacon Blue's Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh are among a host of Scottish stars to perform at a charity fundraiser at Glasgow's Oran Mor.

The duo will join cast members from River City to help raise cash for Action Duchenne (formerly PPUK) and sufferers of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Ricky and Lorraine will be joined by River Shitty's Tony Kearney, John Paul McGilvary, Johnny Beattie, Claire Knight, David Paisley and Laura McMonagle. Former cast member Ryan Fletcher is also scheduled to sing at the gig, which is being dubbed "a turn, a tipple and a tea-cake".

Libby McCarthur will perform a duet with on-screen husband Gilly Gilchrist, while Johnny Beattie and Eileen McCallum will also sing together.

Stars from Taggart are also due to attend, with Dorothy Paul, Tom Urie and Dave Anderson also involved. There will also be music from The Boppin Heads, Eilidh's Daily Ukulele Ceilidh.

Eileen McCallum's two grandsons have Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy, a muscle wasting condition which leaves sufferers wheelchair bound.

Eileen said: "It should be a great night. I'm really grateful for so many people giving up their time to help.

"They'll start trials with a new drug in this country soon, so we'll see how it goes."

The fundraiser kicks off at 6pm on Sunday.

Tickets, priced £20, are available on the door on Sunday or from Heart & Buchanan on Byres Road and also via http://www.tartanturns.co.uk
