Glasgow Doors Open Day 15-16 September

Postby AndrewM » Sat Aug 18, 2007 8:50 am

Just received a brochure for this years Doors Open Day. I am sure this will have been posted somewhere else (I did look but couldn't find it) but thought I would post it here.

You can get more information on their website http://www.doorsopendays.org.uk
You can call them for a brochure on 0141 248 1188

The brochure is a small A5 sized leaflet which lists all 124 buildings that are taking part and unfolds to give a large map with each building shown on it. Very few buildings on the the Southside but there is the the BBC building (first come first served guided tours) and the stv building which I think was the most popular last year (tickets only). There is also a free shuttle bus to see the newly restored Castlemilk stables.

All organised by Glasgow Building Preservation Trust http://www.gbpt.org

For anyone that attended Doors Open Day this year, there is a short (3, well, 2 and a bit page) survey/questionnaire on their website with 10 copies of Neil Baxters new book - A Tale of Two Towns: A History of Medieval Glasgow as a wee prize draw... erm... prize if you fill it in :)
