Classic Pic WB, I always remembered the Bargain shop in the ingles building they had a rotating Watch display under the counter that you could move with the buttons on the top. :)

I have to say i totally disagree with that - just look at the comparison! Sometimes you just have to let go, particularly when the replacement is far, faaaar superior. There was even a facade retained inside the new hotel :D

Great pic btw... have you doen a past/present with it?

Although in most parts of Glasgow I would agree, I have rather taken a liking to the business district of the City Centre (which I take to mean Central Station as the Eastern Boundary, Anderston Centre as the Western, the river as the Southern and Blytheswood Square as the Northern). It's the one (to my mind) really eclectic area of Glasgow.

I really liked the old warehouse district South of Argyle Street and I also like the area as it is now. It would have been nice to have had both :( .
