Not quite. He picked a specific map from the past and tried to follow it today. This week was an English bike map of the lake district from 1903. Not a bad programme, but I would have preferred to see him attack the route with a modern bike. That way it becomes a useful guide to the modern route as well.

Indeed. And he was quite irritating too. I'm sure he was helicoptered down from that peak... Still worth watching though.
When is someone going to make a really interesting maps/walking/landscape/place type programme? The heirs of Tom Weir step forward!
