I'd be happy to do the Mile End walk if anyone is interested. How would Saturday 14th July suit, meet outside the Olympia at Bridgeton Cross at 10.00. It would last around an hour an a half.

pwm437 is willing to lead a Mile End walk if we have interest.

Mile End (a mile from Glasgow Cross) is the site of early industrial settlement along the Camlachie Burn, which now runs under the main thoroughfare, Brook Street. I believe this was previously one of the most densely populated areas of Glasgow, but is now mainly an industrial area with very little housing. Anyway, I am not the expert!

The date is good for me. So, any other takers?

Yeah, go on. I like that part of town. I've been around it a few times in the last few years, but never with someone who knew something about it.

I love PMW's tours but unfortunatly can't make it along to this one...for anyone not been on one before ,try to make the time to get along,he always has realy interesting facts about the area and most people who have lived there didn't even know what was once on their doorstep..
hope it stays dry for you all and you have a good day

This is one I would really love to come along to but sadly will be out of Glasgow on that date.

See you all at 10am. I might cycle over ... are there any safe spots to leave a bike (with a Kryptonite D-lock)?
