HG 2nd January walk 2012 - meeting Queen Street Station 11am

Postby Vinegar Tom » Thu Dec 29, 2011 7:48 pm

The 2012 HG 2nd January walk will be a break from tradition, as a repeat of the M74 walk would now probably be fatal.

The theme this time will be the Commonwealth Games; we will be exploring parts of the East End undergoing changes as a result, and probably chucking in a bit of history as well.

Meeting place : Queen Street Station, 11:00.

For the attention of our country members Dalmarnock Station is closed on 2nd January.

Sounds fantastic and I caan't wait to see y'all.

I hope everyone in this amazing place has a great Hognamay then a healthy and prosperous 2012.

Due to staff sickness I started around an hour ago and won't finish until 13:00 tomorrow. That first dram of the year seems a long fucking way off.

It'll be good to see you again, Shuggy.

Commiserations to the folk who'll be coming in from that general area only to walk back out again, but it's all about the journey 'n' that.....

Those of you who are attending, remember all the public toilets will be shut, bring your own she-wee / dock leaf.

... although it is annual "nae security guard" day...

Why is that, btw? How come they're out on force on the 1st (or equivalent) but not the 2nd?

By the way I finished off that two level cartoon tattoo that wrapsaround my lower left leg. To use modern parlance I beleive it is a stormer and one will display one's work should one be asked.
