Looking forward to it. The BBC website weather forecast does contain the word "brightness" ( plus a few other less encouraging words ) :)

Rain is an excuse to take on refreshments, I suppose.

It's a tad damp, but so what?

See you all there.

Hope you all have a good walk. I saw the sun for a second a moment ago, so it's up there somewhere!

Aye +1 to VT

First half was a little damp. But after a refreshing foaming ale (I owe you one Joseph) we all sorta dried out and carried on.

Rest of the day was great thoroughly enjoyed it informative and with a great bunch of folk.

Big thanks to the Doctor now coming in on a bullet at number 10 and rising fast (hopefully).

Just to cap it all a boiling Clyde and a seal what a day, see you all on the next one.

The big fat seal was a highlight for me too :)

And it was great to get down to Govan graving docks, I had been meaning to visit there for ages. Also really enjoyed the tour of Govan Parish Church, and the stones were amazing. There is a lot of history in that little spot.

Thanks Ronnie, and Jenny (for the warming beverage at half time).

Here are my pics from yesterday:

Turned out that some nice people wanted to march through our meeting point ( and we were not arguing ).

The sluice gates were open due to the heavy rainfall. If you look at the large versions you can see a lot of debris like footballs, bottles , dead bodies etc.

In Tradeston. This was the factory of Blacklock and MacArthur where my grandfather worked as a cooper:

The mystery object on Govan Road. We thought it was probably tram related and that it probably has its own HG thread:

Too right it is. I like it in there, though I've never seen more than half a dozen people in it, including me and the bar staff.

I rather wish I'd made it along, but glad a good time was had.
