Shawlands and Strathbungo Community Council and Glasgow City Council Area Development team are holding a grants information event in Shawlands Academy on Tuesday 28 October 2008 at 7pm. The event is to inform local community groups about the grants available from the Council, what they can apply for and how to go through the process.

The objective is to give local groups a clear understanding of what funding is available, which groups are eligible and how to apply. At the end of the evening all those attending should leave with detailed knowledge of the grants that are available and an understanding of how to complete the forms. They will also have contact details for members of the area development team who can help them with follow up questions. Should be a worthwhile couple of hours for any local community group in need of funds.
