Glasgow does seem to be dearer even for flights to Europe.
I remember meeting a couple in Spain one time who had travelled to Manchester as it was a much lower price and I don't just mean a few pounds.
By a million to one chance we met the same couple the following year when we were back in same resort.

the last three years when went to Portugal we've seen the same people there, same hotel, same fortnight!
