Some Americans are like that (but not all). Best one I've had, on a train, a woman asked me where I was from and I said, Germany. She then asked, "is that up east?" Uh, yeah... wayyyyyy east, try outside of the US ::):

Another good one I've seen on TV with an English woman who'd emigrated south of the equator. She was all upset and disappointed with the Australian weather, complaining summer was so cold, after all this was August. And I was thinking, you will have one hell of a surprise come January...

Can't help it, but I feel sorry for people who are so ignorant. Though they sure can be funny. Still, there is probably quite a lot I don't know that I should.

You mean like everyone else in north and south America gets upset when we refer to the United States as "America"? :)

Dumb Questions

"Are you going to finish that?"
"that" being - cheescake with strawberries and whipped cream on top.

(only thread I could find suitable) :D

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/edi ... 548131.stm

now all we need is that all voice recognition computers should be female and after a gap of say 60 seconds (ok I'll allow it to be adjusted) the voice say;
"for f**** sake what are you on about!" or words to that affect :wink:
